About the Artist
Earlene Bitterman was born in Pouce Coupe BC to a traditional Metis family and currently lives in Northern BC. In her early years being raised in construction residing in isolated communities in the Yukon, and Northwest territories, she developed her artistic skills. Her talents have led her to participate in an across Canada distributed learning to read series which won the Lieutenant Governor’s award for literacy for aboriginal youth. On her drawing table is also a Metis colouring book soon to be released in 2014. She is now working on the second part of the Michif Language Project CD!
